The MCCorse electric bike draws its inspiration from the original Maserati MCCorse car, a well-known icon in the automotive industry. The aim was to create one of the lightest electric bikes in the world while maintaining a holistic design profile. This was achieved by hiding the electric motor and battery in the downtube of the bike. The colors of the bike are inspired by the original Maserati MCCorse car, further strengthening the connection between the two.
The Maserati MCCorse electric bike is unique in its design and features. It has been created using new composite materials and the production method of Autoclave carbon to make the bike both strong and light. The bike has been well received by clients and has won several design awards throughout Europe, further proving its uniqueness and appeal.
The bike is made using a full Carbon Autoclave frame, with the battery completely hidden in the frame to optimize the race look. The motor is a very strong mid motor, also hidden in the super-light carbon autoclave frame. The wheels are race carbon wheels from Zipp, and the stem is integrated into the frame to create better aerodynamics.
The design process of the MCCorse was a collaborative effort between Diavelo, a member of Accel Group, and Maserati's designers from Centro Stile. The e-bike collection consists of two product lines, the MC Series and the V8 Series, featuring products for different uses and customers. The project took 8 months and was carried out in Denmark and Italy, with the final prototype approval done in Croatia by the Diavelo design studio.
The MCCorse has overcome several design challenges, the most critical being to get the weight down to a record-breaking level. This was achieved by using untraditional materials for an electric bike such as carbon and kevlar instead of metal and alloy. The result is a bike that not only breaks records but also sets a higher standard in the e-bike industry.
The MCCorse is a testament to the innovation and creativity of Diavelo Protanium and Centro Stile. It represents a new category in the electric bike industry, combining the race DNA of the original Maserati car with composite materials and Autoclave carbon to create a strong, light, and award-winning e-bike. The MCCorse is not just a bike; it's a revolution in the e-bike industry.
